SEASONAL

AMERICAN BEAUTY
(2018) Pale Ale - American
6.5% ABV - 50 IBU - Dogfish Head Craft Brewery - Milton, DE

In 2013, we released American Beauty, a collaboration with the Grateful Dead. Dogfish Head and the Grateful Dead both built their followings by connecting directly with their fans, so we asked those loyal fans to help drive the beer’s recipe. After more than 1,500 ingredient suggestions, granola came out on top! This year, American Beauty is back for an encore! Clocking in at 6.5% ABV (to mark the year the Grateful Dead was formed, 1965), this psychedelic pale ale is brewed with granola and succulent wildflower honey, and boasts malty and sweet notes of honey, toasted grain and citrus. After one taste of American Beauty, there will be nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile! Available on draft and in 6-packs of 12 oz. bottles.

IPA'S

FLIP FLOP IPA

DOUBLEPIT IPA
IPA - Imperial / Double
8% ABV - 77 IBU - Big Timber Brewing Company - Elkins, WV
Bold | Juicy | Deceptive 8.0% ABV, 77 IBUs: Our Double Bit IPA is a big, juicy double IPA. It pours a hazy golden color, with a big tropical fruit and citrus nose. This smooth drinking beer fills your mouth with big juicy hop flavors, and finishes dry with a lingering of that great hop taste. The hops attribute more flavor than bitterness, and masks the alcohol. Cheers!

WHEAT BEERS

SUSPENSION PRE-PROHIBITION CREAM ALE
Cream Ale

BOTTLED / CANNED

SEASONAL

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR (Our Special Ale) (2018)
Winter Warmer
6.9% ABV - 40 IBU - Anchor Brewing Company - San Francisco, CA
Our 2018 Christmas Ale has varying specialty malts, lending rich flavors of brûléed sugars, holiday spices and freshly baked banana bread with a velvety finish. The aromatics are quintessential for the holiday season: nutty candied yams and resinous pine. It pours a nice mahogany brown color with a fluffy, tan head. As each Christmas Ale recipe evolves, so does its hand drawn packaging, created by long-time Anchor Illustrator Jim Stitt, who has been creating Anchor’s Christmas Ale labels since 1975. Since ancient times, trees have symbolized the winter solstice when the earth, with its seasons, appears born anew. For the 2018 release, Stitt created a brimming Korean Pine Tree for the label. Native to both North aand South Korea, the Korean Pine Tree is a symbol of peace and a reminder of the spirit of the season. It flourishes in the picturesque botanical gardens just north of San Francisco, Anchor’s home base.

IPA'S

HI-5 IPA (Citra Dry Hopped)
IPA - American
5.9% ABV 80 IBU Terrapin Beer Co. Athens, GA
On cask

75 MINUTE IPA
IPA - American
7.5% ABV - 75 IBU - Dogfish Head Craft Brewery - Milton, DE
It’s been a minute … but 75 Minute IPA is back! What began as a cask-conditioned ale at our Rehoboth brewpub back in 2011, quickly grew to become a cult-favorite amongst craft enthusiasts. From the groucho glasses that adorned the label to it’s slightly dry and lingering bitterness, 75 Minute was (and is) beloved by many. Now in our latest iteration, this classic IPA is again brewed with maple syrup from Sam’s family farm in Massachusetts, while being continually hopped throughout the boil, and then dry-hopped with a slew of cascade hops. The result is a malty and earthy brew with citrusy-pine aromas, balanced by subtle maple notes.

SAMUEL ADAMS NEW ENGLAND IPA
IPA - New England
6.8% ABV - 35 IBU - Boston Beer Company - Boston, MA
Born inside our nano brewery in Boston, Samuel Adams New England IPA is a medium-bodied, hazy brew featuring a big punch of citrus juiciness. The slight sweetness is perfectly balanced by the pineapple and grapefruit hop character, without being overly bitter. Clocking in at 6.8% ABV and a low 35 IBUs, the unfiltered IPA provides a burst of fruited hop aroma and leaves drinkers wanting another sip. In comparison to West Coast style IPAs which have prominent hop bitterness and a light, dry mouthfeel, New England IPA’s are generally known for a juicy, luscious mouthfeel and opaque, hazy appearance - and are best enjoyed fresh. HOPS: Galaxy, Simcoe, Mosaic, Citra, Cascade

HOP BULLET DOUBLE IPA
IPA - Imperial / Double
8% ABV - 60 IBU - Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. - Chico, CA
Hops are the name of the game with a Double IPA, but we knew we had to take it one step further. With Hop Bullet, we’re using a new technique, hitting the beer with a double-barreled blast of Magnum hops and lupulin dust—pure, concentrated hop flavor—directly into the tank to emphasize the intense pine and citrus flavors of classic West Coast hops.

HAZY LITTLE THING
IPA - New England
6.7% ABV - 40 IBU - Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. - Chico, CA
As brewers, we get the privilege to sample our beers straight from the tanks in all their raw glory. Some beers need a little polishing to get ready to go out into the world, while others—the hop-heavy, rowdy, crowd-pleasers—should just be left alone. We wanted to share this brewery-only treat with you, so we present this Hazy Little Thing, our unfiltered, unprocessed IPA, straight from the tanks and into the can.

In Mazatlán, the beer is available in three different size bottles: "cuartitos" (6 fl. oz), "medias" (12 fl. oz.), and "ballenas" (32 fl. oz.). "Clara" means clear, as opposed to "obscura" (dark).

AMBER / RED / BROWN / STRONG ALES

FAT TIRE
Red Ale - American Amber / Red
5.2% ABV - 22 IBU - New Belgium Brewing Company - Fort Collins, CO
After a trip to Europe, New Belgium’s co-founder returned to Colorado from Belgium with a handful of ingredients and an idea. Two years later, Fat Tire – named in honor of his inspired bike ride across the Belgian countryside – pedaled its way into the hearts of beer drinkers. Now considered an iconic centerpiece of the craft beer movement, Fat Tire represents the American spirit of craft brewing ingenuity and an irresistible imagination that reminds us all to rediscover our playful side. Fat Tire’s unique flavor profile originates from the late 1930s, when local Belgian breweries aimed to satisfy the tastes of visiting British soldiers. English floral hops, subtle malt sweetness and spicy, fruity notes from Belgian yeast made for a balanced yet magical combination. These same characteristics are at the heart of Fat Tire. Classified as an Ameri-Belgo style ale by the revered Great American Beer Festival and World Beer Cup competitions, Fat Tire blends a fine malt presence, fresh herbal hop balance and a touch of fruity yeast to offer drinkers everywhere a timeless craft beer experience with a rare blend of balance and complexity. Malts: Pale, C-80, Munich, Victory Hops: Willamette, Goldings, Nugget Yeast: House Ale Yeast.

CHIMAY BLUE / BLEUE / BLAUW (Grande Réserve)
Belgian Strong Dark Ale
9% ABV - 35 IBU - Bières de Chimay - Baileux, Hainaut
The Chimay Blue Cap, baptized "Grande Reserve" in 750 ml bottles is a dark Trappist beer with a powerful aroma, the complex flavor of which improves across the years. It was first brewed as a Christmas beer by the monks of Scourmont Abbey in 1956. This authentic Belgian beer, whose tinge of fresh yeast is associated with a light rosy flowery touch, is particularly pleasant. Its aroma, perceived as one enjoys it, only accents the delightful sensations revealed by the odor, all revealing a light but agreeable caramelized note. It is ideally served at cellar temperature (10 to 12°C).

CHIMAY RED / ROUGE / ROOD (Première)
Belgian Dubbel
7% ABV - 19 IBU - Bières de Chimay - Baileux, Hainaut
First sold in 75 cl (25.4 fl.oz.) bottles, it is noted for its copper color and as the first beer brewed by the monks of Chimay in 1862. Topped with a creamy head, it gives off a light, fruity apricot aroma produced by the fermentation. The taste perceived in the mouth is a balance confirming the fruity nuances noticed in the fragrance. Its taste, which imparts a silky sensation to the tongue, is made refreshing by a light touch of bitterness. To the palate, the taster perceives a pleasant astringency which complements the flavor qualities of this beer very harmoniously. This top-fermented Trappist beer, re fermented in the bottle, is not pasteurized.
